Hankow

Hankow is nearly 600 miles from the coast on the Yangtzee River, and is 500 miles north of Hong Kong. It became a treaty port under the Treaty of Tianjin, ratified in 1860. Hankow's main export during the Treaty Port period was black tea, which may explain the larger number of 30c usages from Hankow as they were used to send samples of tea by Parcel Post.

The post office of Hankow closed on 30 November, 1922.
